Hi, I’m Ky, a Registered Dietitian, runner, and recovering perfectionist.
Before retraining in nutrition, I spent 18 years working in the motor industry; spreadsheets, deadlines, and performance targets were my normal. I loved the people and customers I worked with, but I always knew something was missing.
I hadn’t even heard of the job title dietitian until much later in life. When I did, I was instantly curious; I started looking into it, learning what they did, and the more I discovered, the more it clicked. I realised this was exactly what I was meant to do all along.
Like many of the people I now work with, I’ve had my own struggles with food, weight, and energy. During a busy period of my life, juggling work, motherhood, and fatigue, my health took a back seat. My diet slipped into convenience, my exercise routine disappeared under layers of mum guilt, and I found myself on a constant cycle of fad diets and quick fixes. Detox drinks, “plans,” and meal replacements, I tried them all. None of them worked for long, and some even made me feel worse.
Eventually, I realised that what I really needed wasn’t another diet it was balance, self-compassion, and the space to look after myself properly. That shift changed everything. Working on my mental and emotional resilience became just as important as getting my nutrition right, and I learned first-hand that mindset really is everything.
My love of exercise started young, in the gym, but it wasn’t until my 30s that I found running. To be honest, I tried and failed at it many, many times before it stuck. One day I got sick of starting from scratch and following a 10km run I decided to train for my first half marathon. That run changed everything. Now, I run not for punishment or pace, but for peace. It’s my reset button, my time to think, and often where my best ideas come from.
Over the years, I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the amount of nutritional misinformation out there, the “miracle” plans, detox teas, the false promises and self-proclaimed experts preying on people’s vulnerabilities. I’ve seen it play out in myself, my friends, and my family, and it’s one of the reasons I’m so committed to being evidence-based. I’m really proud of the work I do and the fact that my advice is grounded in science, not sales.
As a dietitian, I work both in healthcare and privately, supporting people to improve their health, confidence, and relationship with food. I’ve seen too many people trapped in the same cycle I once was, chasing unrealistic ideals, following every new trend, and measuring success by a number on a scale or the size of their jeans. I’m here to change that.
My approach is rooted in compassion, realism, and evidence. I believe food should fuel your life, not control it. That strength is built as much in your mindset as it is in the gym. And that health isn’t about cutting things out, it’s about adding days to your life and life to your days.
When I’m not working with patients or clients, you’ll usually find me out running, exploring the countryside, spending time with my family, or planning my next challenge.
If you’re ready to stop starting over, learn to fuel your body properly, and build confidence from genuinely feeling well, you’re in the right place.
